Network Capital envisions a world where ideas are exchanged and valuable relationships are forged across borders. The fact that our vibrant community has members from about 89 nations, including a strong base in China, is a testimony to our allegiance to these values. Standing true to our philosophy, we have made yet another attempt to transcend borders and bridge the gap between China and India with the recent turn of events.
We are delighted to collaborate with the Institute of China Studies (ICS), Delhi to organise a session to discuss the India-China relations on various fronts. The session will be hosted in the ICS premises on July 29 at 3 PM. Our distinguished speakers will include-
- Aravind Yelery, Assistant Director at the Institute of China Studies and a faculty at IIM-Shillong. He is an expert on the Sino-Indian political economy and writes on China’s SOEs, its foreign policy and institutional and behavioral aspects of Chinese markets.
- Jabin Jacob, a Fellow (Associate Professor) at ICS. He has been a Hermès Fellow at Sciences Po, Visiting Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University and a visiting faculty at University of Bordeaux IV. He actively researches and writes on China’s foreign policy, Sino-Indian border areas and most recently on the Belt and Road Initiative.
The session will provide insights on both the commercial and the geo-political relations between the two countries. While Dr. Aravind will cover topics on the business front- rise of Chinese investments in India, doing business in China and foreign trade, Dr. Jabin will talk about geopolitical strategies and border disputes (including the current one). However, the discussion will be open-ended and questions from the audience will be invited by the speakers.
